The Tracy Building Staff manufactured a dire scenario in which our parapets (that portion of the wall that extends above the roof) were an imminent threat to the safety of the public. As you can see on the Work We've Done page, our parapets are now reinforced with steel bracing and are safe. Yet the photos below of the roofs of buildings surrounding The Great Plate, including the City's own Grand Theater, do not show the same bracing as we have been forced to install. Maybe someone on the City staff can explain why we were singled out for enforcement?
How about it Andrew Malik?
How about it Kevin Jorgensen?
Is downtown Tracy a death trap?
Does the Grand Theater present an imminent danger to the public?
Or did you exaggerate the threat so as to punish a private property owner?
Who's next?
